Since the spring of 2010, a new infectious disease has successively broken out in duck flocks in the southeastern part of our country, causing a reduction in egg production, delayed growth, and death in meat ducks. The pathogen causing this disease has been proven by researchers from the China Veterinary Drug Control Institute and other units to be the Tembusu virus, which belongs to the Flaviviridae family and Flavivirus genus. This is the first report in the world that the Tembusu virus can cause a serious infectious disease in ducks. At present, the disease is still widely spreading and prevalent in most waterfowl farming areas such as Zhejiang, Anhui, Shandong, Fujian, and Chongqing in our country, causing huge economic losses to our country's waterfowl breeding industry and duck farming industry. Epidemic diagnosis and monitoring are one of the most important measures to prevent Tembusu virus disease.
Our company's Duck Tembusu Virus ELISA Antibody Test Kit is the first of its kind domestically and internationally, approved as a new Class I veterinary drug, filling the gap in related technology. The kit uses purified whole virus for coating, preserving the protein spatial structure and effective antigenic sites of the virus, and has a good linear relationship with the monitoring of virus-neutralizing antibodies and post-challenge protection. At the same time, the product has good specificity and does not react with positive serum of duck plague virus, duck hepatitis virus, duck reovirus, H9 influenza serum, etc., which are commonly seen in clinical practice.
