Dahuanong signed a technical cooperation agreement on science and enterprise integration with Beijing Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences

On September 1st, Dahuanong and the Beijing Institute of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences signed a science-enterprise integration technology cooperation agreement in Beijing. Both parties will fully leverage their respective strengths to form a powerful alliance, focusing on the main battlefield of high-quality development in the livestock industry. They will carry out scientific research and innovation cooperation in healthy breeding of livestock and poultry, as well as the prevention and control of major animal diseases and the innovation of new products. This collaboration aims to provide leading innovative achievements and technical support to enhance China's capacity for animal disease prevention and control, promote the safe, green, innovative, and efficient development of the livestock industry, and achieve fruitful results from the cooperation, creating shared success and mutual benefits.



The signing ceremony was presided over by Li Junya, the deputy director of the Institute of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. Attending the meeting were more than 20 people, including Qin Yuchang, the director of the institute, Jia Yaxiong, the head of the Science and Technology Management Department, Yuan Weifeng, the head of the Achievement Transformation Department, Wang Haoyu, the head of the Graduate Student Work Department, Ding Jiabao, the director of the Veterinary Discipline, and their innovative teams. Chen Ruiai, the chief operating officer and chairman of Dahuanong, Wang Amin, the vice president, and representatives from the bio-pharmaceutical company, marketing center, and board office, totaling 8 people, attended the signing ceremony and engaged in discussions and docking on specific cooperation implementation plans.

Dahuanong and the Institute of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine have officially signed the "Innovation and Creation of Veterinary Biological Products and Market Promotion Service Agreement" and the "Dahuanong Scholarship Agreement". Chairman Chen Ruiai was appointed as an off-campus instructor for professional degree graduate students at the Beijing Institute of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Building on previous cooperation, the two sides have further expanded their areas of cooperation and joined hands to carry out research on animal disease prevention and control technology, tackling key technologies for the source prevention and control of zoonotic diseases. This cooperation covers various aspects including joint talent cultivation, epidemiological surveys, testing, evaluation, and the formulation of comprehensive prevention and control measures for major animal diseases such as porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, brucellosis, tuberculosis, and egg MS. It plays an important role in enhancing the market technical service level of Dahuanong and also lays the foundation for the two sides to jointly develop new products that are more in line with market demands and more grounded.

It is reported that the Beijing Institute of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, is a national-level social welfare comprehensive scientific and technological innovation research institution for animal husbandry and veterinary medicine. It carries out applied basic, applied, and development research in disciplines such as animal genetic resources and breeding, animal biotechnology and reproduction, animal nutrition and feed, forage science, veterinary medicine, and the quality and safety of livestock products. It focuses on solving major scientific and technological issues that are global, key, directional, and foundational to the country. It has achieved fruitful results in the fields of scientific and technological talent and innovation, and has been rated as one of the "Top 100 Research Institutes" and "Top 10 Basic Research Institutes" in the comprehensive strength of scientific research and development of national agricultural research institutions. It has also been awarded the "Outstanding Team Award for the Implementation of the National Science and Technology Plan during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan".
