The Level 3 Biosafety (BSL-3) Laboratory of Guangdong Wens Foodstuffs Dahuanong Biotechnology Co., Ltd., affiliated with Sun Yat-sen University, has successfully passed the on-site inspection for supervisory review.

The China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) organized a panel of experts to conduct the third regular surveillance review and on-site inspection of the Level 3 Biosafety (BSL-3) Laboratory at Guangdong Wens Foodstuffs Dahuanong Biotechnology Co., Ltd. from October 19th to 21st, 2018.

The expert team comprehensively examined the laboratory's hardware facilities, operational management, and the conduct of experimental projects by listening to reports, testing facilities, inspecting personal protective equipment and reagents, reviewing management records, and organizing on-site discussions and assessments with laboratory safety, technical, and project management personnel. They completed the third surveillance review on-site inspection of our company's BSL-3 laboratory. The review team highly praised the maintenance of the BSL-3 laboratory's management system and fully affirmed the effectiveness of the laboratory's management work. At the same time, the review team also made suggestions for further improving the construction of the laboratory.

It is reported that the Level 3 Biosafety (BSL-3) Laboratory of Guangdong Wens Foodstuffs Dahuanong Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is the first and currently the only corporate laboratory in China to have passed the BSL-3 laboratory accreditation. The accreditation of the laboratory provides a safeguard for the company to carry out the detection and experimental research of high-pathogenic pathogens.
