Freshly Announced! The 2019 Guangdong Province Science and Technology Awards Go to Them!

On March 25th, the provincial science and technology innovation conference was held in Guangzhou, where the Guangdong Province Science and Technology Awards for 2019 were presented.

The recipients of the Guangdong Province Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award for 2019 are: Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Academician of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Materials Science, and Professor at South China University of Technology, Wang Yingjun; Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a renowned marine ecological engineering expert at home and abroad, Director and Researcher at the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhang Si.


The conference awarded the first and second prizes of the 2019 Guangdong Province Science and Technology Natural Science Awards, with 12 first prizes and 12 second prizes; the first and second prizes of the Technical Invention Awards, with 9 first prizes and 5 second prizes; and the Special Prize, 29 first prizes, and 105 second prizes of the Science and Technology Progress Awards.

In addition, the Science and Technology Cooperation Awards were granted to four experts: Bernard Mone, Rajiv Kumar Vasireddy, Dilake Puriadasa Dewamitiya Gamagé, and Matthias Dürr.
